CHL Class story in Southlake Journal 5/19/06 and TSRA Mag.

Good CHL class story by Jean Weaver in the Southlake weekly paper on May 19th. The article is titled: "Southlake Women Packin Heat". It gives the positive side of getting a CHL- mainly for females. Good quotes from the Mayor's wife and Representive Hupp.
The article also shows why all hands should turn out to defeat Lon Burnam of Fort Worth - ASAP. He is most vocal about being anti-2nd amendment.

The Southlake Journal is a property of the Star Telegram but I couldn't find this story electronically to post here or I would have done so. Sorry. Maybe I can scan it in and post it.

It's always good to hear about a pro-2nd article in public newsprint. Sure would be great if we had a few more journalists like the one that wrote the article you mentioned.

Yes, it is. I may have to swing up around Southlake on my way home today and see if I can't pick up a copy of that paper so I can give it to my wife. It's out of my way a bit, but may be worth it seeing as how she's itching for her first issue of Women's Outlook to show up.

Although not a local, or even a Texas journalist, I read a story just yesterday that for a change made me feel that there's at least a little logic left around in the mass media...

TSRA Sportsman Magazine May/June

Post by Trainman »

I was looking at my May/June issue of TSRA Sporstman magazine and saw Jean's article inside as a guest editorial on page 17. It is a much longer piece than what ran in the Southlake Journal. It's a good read.

Rep. Suzanna Hupp is a real asset to the CHL community.

But Lon Burnam - Fort Worth PLEASE get enough votes to replace him in office. How uninformed and out of touch with reality can one individual be?

sparx, She will love the Women's Outlook. My Mom takes it and reads it cover to cover. At 75 she still likes to shoot, she carries, trains w/ me too.
Sat. we worked on parking lot awareness, 1st verbal defense, pistol defense at close range,(P3AT) & target practice (Sig 232). Dad is gone. Mom is still fun.
Glad to see another lady on the street armed.

Unfortunately she's retiring from the legislature, if I'm not mistaken...
Do you know about the TEXAS State Rifle Association?
