That is just shocking seeing those guys walk in the store and randomly start shooting whoever was in their line of sight.
I don't think this was a hit on someone; I would venture to say this was rather a random gang initiation ritual by a bunch of punks.
I was watching the Nat-Geo channel the other day and I remember seeing something similar, except the person being "initiated" (bunch of ignorant retards) beat the crap out of a random guy in the street; thus proving his "worthiness" to the gang and becoming worthless to society at the same time.

Now this guy didn't shoot to kill; just stepped in the store and even though they both had firearms only one opened fire; definitely not professional hit men.
it was a such a tragedy that Becka was in their direct line of fire...

I really hope they catch them ! :thumbs2:

Or they got kicked out of the place and came back to "show them."

I have been to this place before I would call it more of a head shop then anything else.

I just saw the store video tape on chanel 5 nbc news at 10 last night. Unless you are
facing the threat and aware of the threat, there is
just not enough time to react to such a quick random walk in shooting like
this. Years ago I walked into a Gas Pipe over in Arlington. I was uncomfortable
inside, not from tobacco sales, but from all the DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
available for purchase. I never returned.

I live not too far from where this happned, and drive through that area on a regular basis. While It's not a "nice" part of town I've never felt threatened there. Before this happened I only carried when I was going into areas I felt that I need it, now I carry all the time. Sad that it's coming to this...

It came to that a long time ago. Nobody in Luby's in Killeen in 1991 thought it had "come to this" either.

You carry 24 by 7 or you guess right.

Actually, it "came to this" a long time ago - it just recently hit home with you.

Most citizens only hear about a tiny fraction of what goes on in their community, and they come to believe that's all there is. A couple of nights of ride alongs with the local PD would change that perception in a hurry.

During my LEO days, the most frequent lament I heard at serious crime scenes was "I never thought something like this could happen here." When you've heard that often enough in virtually every neighborhood in town, you start to get the real picture.

The reality is that there are no safe places. There are certainly places that are safer than others in that really bad things happen with less frequency there, but they still happen everywhere.

Carry 24/7 or guess right.

Dang, smokindragon is getting all defensive and others are getting all bent out of shape. It isn't personal, at least not in this board.

Fact is folks, It Does Not Matter. People, minding their own dang business, got attacked...for no apparent personal gain reason.
