So, what are the recommendations for quality
gunsmiths in Tarrant or Wise county?

I don't mind payin a premium for expert service either.
A man that knows what he's doin oughtta be paid well.

OK, so far this shop sounds like the place to check out...thanks!

I've got a really old S&W .38 (takes the hard to find short rounds)
that I got from my grandfather when he passed and I'd like to
get it looked over to see what they recommend to get it back
to shootin ready.

In Wise county there is Bridgeport Guns & Ammo. Brian is the owner/operator he is a good guy too. If you were looking for someplace west of DFW. He is on US 380 Between Bridgeport and Runaway Bay.

Absolutely. I've bought several guns from them over the past 3 years. Todd has worked on various pistols and rifles of mine - including a very nice trigger job on a Remington 700 VSF.

Advanced Gun Works in Roanoke (corner of 170 and 377 across the railroad tracks from 377).

They custom make 1911's, can order anything, and do a lot of quality gunsmithing. They're also breaking ground on a new shooting range in March.

You'll find a few of their employees hanging around our little forum here, too.
