Re: Hypothetical situation
Shoot em in the back. I don't believe the whole, "never shoot a person in the back" thing.

Re: Hypothetical situation
I find it hard to believe the BG is going to turn his back on someone he just took a wallet & keys from. His problem will be keeping his attention on you while getting in the vehicle.
Re: Hypothetical situation
Yeah, you may have to shoot thru your window.
Re: Hypothetical situation
would likely depend on a judge, IMHO, self defense to one is murder to another. sad world.
and who is Joe Horn?

Re: Hypothetical situation
rcamp... What exactly are you trying to say? Because no, in TX, it really doesn't depend on the judge. State law is pretty clear on this subject. A guy with a gun steals your car, he's eligible for a hollow point attitude adjustment.

Is it really that hard to believe with the criminals we have these days?
McALLEN - A woman accused of robbing two banks this month gave investigators a vital clue to her identity Monday, when she passed a threatening note to a teller with her name and address on the back.

Isn't that common practice these days? I swear I've heard of this happening several times now.peon wrote:McALLEN - A woman accused of robbing two banks this month gave investigators a vital clue to her identity Monday, when she passed a threatening note to a teller with her name and address on the back.
Defense of self or immediate family seems pretty well defined, defending your neighbor's property might cost you more than it's worth.

Re: Hypothetical situation
I think Joe Horn's mouth caused more problems than his shotgun.

Re: Hypothetical situation
an answer with a twist... when he turns to walk away... if you have some sort of problem with shooting someone in the back, draw your weapon, and say "hey" as he turns around give him the "copper washing".
and it goes without saying that if a guy with a drawn gun gets within 60 yards of you, without you noticing... something else has gone wrong on your part.
if he gets within 50 feet of you without you addressing him, ready for action, then you have failed, and if at any distance he goes for his waistband without you out-drawing him and hitting him before he hits you, then you have got to get more trigger time, and i do not mean at the local nanny gun range with their "no drawing from holsters" nonsense. you might have to drive a ways... but go somewhere where you can REALLY train.
