Smith & Wesson 2008 Holiday Handgun Rebates?

I Bought a 642 on Nov 20th and sent my rebate coupon in on Dec 17th for the $30.00 rebate.

I have not received any rebate and the rebate form is no longer on the S&W Website.

Has anyone gotten their rebate from this 2008 Holiday Promotion? It's not that I need the 30.00, it's just that when someone tells me they are going to do something and I jump thru the hoops as required, I expect to get what was offered.

Anyone know how to check status of a S&W rebate?

I sent the rebate paperwork in the first week in December - I chose to receive the magazines instead of the cash rebate. They came in the mail just last Friday.

I sent my rebate for the 642 in last Nov as well and have yet to receive it. Very strange.

I opted for the 2 magazines and received them about 70 days after sending it in.

I sent in for Mags for M&P9 end of Nov.

I recieved them week or two ago.

I had forgotten about it untill they arrived.

I opted for the cash end of Dec. These 'rebates' usually take 3 to 6 months to come back to you.

In this economy they're probably quicker sending merchandise than sending money.

I bought one between November and December and I did not even see the paper work for a rebate.

Yep, nothing came with the guns, you had to go to the website and download a rebate form and fill it out. It was only on selected handguns.

I think it was SSG that hooked me up with the Rebate when he knew that I had bought a new 642-1 No Lock.

Finally received my $30.00 rebate check from them today.
It came in the form of a post card! Could not make out the date of the mailing but it was slightly damaged on the lower left corner but still contained enough data for deposit. It may have been hung up in some cubbyhole somewhere for awhile........

Also got $50.00 yesterday - also on a post card - that was pretty weird. I wonder how many checks will go missing and if S&W will even attempt to track em down.

Got my postcard refund check this last week too. That was weird!
