Mike, I hope you don't mind me calling you a friend, but since you sponsored me on this you're my new friend.

Absolutely! The Legacy Life offer allows for enrolling family members for the $300. Good through March 31st.

Work was crazy today so I didn't get a chance to call about whether any EPL members could use previously paid dues towards the $300. Also the problem with whether or not it only applies to families is a bit disconcerting. I'll try to get answers tomorrow.

I have the form in hand, I was ready to go the 500 for the life upgrade, I have been a regular member for 20+ years.
If there is a sponsor here who will get in touch with me I will call today. Thanks

I don't think you need a sponsor for the 500 dollar deal.If your talking about the 300 dollar deal...somebody posted a couple posts back that they have said it was for signing up family only. Let us know if they let you do it as a friend. I have a couple buds that would probably sign up for the 300 bucks but they aren't the type to lie to get it. I don't want to set it up for them and then look like I was intending for them to pull a quick one...it would reflect on my integrity at that point.

I have no intention of lying to save 200 bucks. If it is a program that is in effect , as I thought I read earlier I dont mind taking advantage of it. If its not available to me, as I said, I am prepared to buy in at 500.

I certainly hope you don't think I was saying you would. Quite frankly, i am no longer sure what the "special deal" entails. The impression I got, by reading this thread, was that the 300 dollar deal was for family members. At the beginning of the thread, I had the impression it did not have to be family. Then a poster mentioned he was told it was for family only and he made a joke about not saying Mike was his uncle.

Some folks don't read the whole thread. I thought you may have missed the part where they said it had to be family. I was simply pointing this out to you with the caveat that if you find out the deal is for friends(without having to fib) let us all know. I have a couple buds that might be willing to join for 300 bucks, but like others on this thread, would not be willing to lie to get the deal.

I hope you don't think I was saying you would lie. Good lord...I don't think anyone on this thread would do that. I got the impression they started out allowing a few friends to join at 300 and decided to cut it off.

I got the 500 dollar upgrade deal you are talking about and I didn't know if you thought you needed a sponsor for that...you don't.

Finally managed to call in.

Everything said here is correct - it's a family sponsorship deal. Apparently they're making the sponsor be the one who calls in.

If you are an EPL member and wondering if any EPL payments apply to the $300, the short answer is: Maybe. I think they're saying if it's early, like $25 or $50, yes. If you put in $250 towards it, probably not.

It looks like I got in just in time, then. The NRA billed my credit card on 3/2/09 for $300.

Me too. From reading the most recent posts it sounds like Diane through her kindness might have been causing the confusion. Just as I posted Friday, she quoted the price to me, with me only inquiring on an upgrade with a current lifer rec. I will still be sending in donations so funding will not be affected by this deal. :patriot: :txflag:

I know this might be a bit late, and I don't know why I didn't take the time to read this thread earlier, but if anyone still wanted to sponsor me, feel free. I'm a big fan of "try it and see what happens", since I either end up ahead or right where I am. I don't plan on lying, but if they'll let me in with "a friend on an internet forum" then I'm all for it. :thumbs2:

:smilelol5: .... keep dreaming. Your a lifer now....daily communications for contributions is part of the deal. I went almost 3 days with no mailers from them, so I called, just to make sure they weren't mad at me. :biggrinjester:
