Interesting reading and a great way to use up dead time at work. As for "BluHog"... see below:

My first grand child is on the way. (I'm still getting used to that!) And my CHL is too. My Dad is Pappa to his grand kids. Who knows what I'll be called, but it seemed to work. And I will protect and defend my grandchild, my children, my wife and my property.

When trying to think up a screen name I first thought of something to do
with the gun I carry, but that is very apt to change in the future, so I did
not want to choose a name that would be obsolete later.

People that know me would be flabbergasted to know that I have a CHL
and that I carry 24/7. I'm an easygoing live and let live guy, not
into sports or macho behavior. The only person in my social group that
knows I carry is a fellow CHL guy who happens to be the one who clued
me on how straightforward it is to get a Texas CHL.

People that might want to rob me would get a very unpleasant wakeup
call because I would draw my Taurus in a heartbeat to stop their evil-
doing.

So "Surprise_I'm_armed" is a rye reminder that friends, co-workers,
fellow church members, and gang members have no inkling that I'm packing heat.
It tickles me to no end that I was able to get my CHL.

Texas is "shall issue" state. This beats my home state, Massachusetts,
where there are way too many "anti's". It's always puzzling to me how the
state where farmers fought for independence with muskets against the
super power of its day, England, has become such pansies over the years
to demonize guns.

Isn't it ironic that some of the most 'anti' states, Mass and CT, are home to
Smith and Wesson, Kahr, and other firearms makers?
N. Texas LTC's hold 3 breakfasts each month. All are 800 AM. OC is fine.
2nd Saturdays: Rudy's BBQ, N. Dallas Pkwy, N.bound, N. of Main St., Frisco.
3rd Saturdays: Golden Corral, 465 E. I-20, Collins St exit, Arlington.
4th Saturdays: Sunny St. Cafe, off I-20, Exit 415, Mikus Rd, Willow Park.

I have said the same thing for many yrs.
Add to the list
New York & Kimber
Illinois & Springfield Armory. I think there is another one there but I forgot it.
I know Smith & SA cannot move a plant that was there before the anti's got control but it really torks me that Kimber picked New York. (& I carry one, & a Springer too.)

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

No real meaning. I just made it up one day years ago for another forum and just stuck with it.

llanite - a small, very hard, blue mineral originally discovered in the Llano region of Texas associated with Diorite intrusions into the local granite. One of the only minerals actually discovered and identified first in Texas.

I'm a geologist. I'm from Texas. I know 3,527 different ways to say 'rock'. Any surprise I would pick this for a handle?

I'm pretty simple. I use this one on many other forums... so to keep up with them all (kind of like flint, too I guess), I use the same (if I can).

Last name, first initial, year born. I'd come up with a new one to handle, but then my pea sized brain would go off and forget and re-register.

Folks call me either "Sneed" or Brandon, which is my first name. Thanks for letting me feel like one of the family since I've been here.
