How neat would it be to have an open carry badge?

Wow. I can't wait. The chicks will love it!

BTW, I too have lost my short-term memory. Have you seen it lying around by chance?
I think you may be confusing Pearl Bailey with Minnie Pearl. Pearl Bailey was a black singer/actress. But the quote does seem more like something Pearl Bailey would say.

One was skinny, and one was not is all I recall. I am pretty positive that neither of them wore an OC badge.

I don't understand the law school requirement. Please elaborate. For the record, I voted option #4.

You must have been reallllllllly bored yesterday...

You just haaaaaaad to bring up the "B" word didn't ya???

Couple that with "OC" and you made a very unstable combustable solution... :blowup :totap: ;-)
Stevie,

It warn't me.

The idea was a brain storm on how to make OC more palatable. It has jack to do with CHL. Next time read the thread before you foam at the mouth.
Does this fall better on your ears now?

You know this would be a good idea except for the few rotten apples that would take advantage of it.

Example http://www.berettaforum.net/vb/showthre ... mpersonate" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I am just shocked no one is discussing the mandatory use of a Peacemaker, Spanish style rig, and required speghetti western soundtrack at all times that was also part of the discussion. Come on, if we're going to do it, it needs to be done right. Now others will argue more of True Grit approach, but nah we've got to go for full on FistFull of Dollars here. Anything else would be unTexan. :txflag: :thewave
Ok, I'll bite...

What make you think doing it right means it would be a good idea to wear some "badge"??? (If you are open carrying???)

Do you believe it would or should be a requirement to have a badge looking thing hanging off your belt if you carry openly in public???

What would the badge say upon close inspection???

If close inspection is not an option at a particular time or place, then what do you believe will be the perception and more important the expectations of the general (non-carrying) public if all they see is your gun, and some shiny thing on your belt that "looks" like a badge???

The ball is in your court...We eagerly await your answers...

Nope. There was at least one rather significant difference between Minnie Pearl and Pearl Bailey.

Mr. frazzled,

I didn't bait and switch. I used verbatim quotes from both yours and another post in the context for which they were intended. No internet tough guy stuff at all. You are free to post on this thread and you did.

I was told by a moderator to stop what I was doing on the other one so I started my own thread. It was meant mostly in humor and most folks here have contributed in such a manner. Anytime you mention badges on a CHL forum you better be ready to take the ribbing.

I really like the raid jacket that says SUSPECT. Funny stuff.

I have that effect on people.

Shoot, I make myself cry sometimes.

The last good sniffle I had was watching the HBO movie Chance with Kevin Bacon.

Or was it when my grandson hugged me after taking him fishing and he told me how much he loved me.
