I called DPS this morning to check-up on my PIN. The guy said it is taking about 4 to 6 weeks until the packets are processed to the point that the PINs are mailed. This is going to take as long as getting my M1 Garand from CMP!

Got my Crossbreed Supertuck on Friday.

Wearing it around the house trying to find that sweet spot.

Should be nice and worn in by the time I get my plastic. ;-)

Question. Does the 60 days start from when you mail the packet, or does it start from when they put it into the system?

I just joined the Waiting Class.

I prepaid online, have a PIN, and mailed the application off today. I'm not terribly optimistic about a <3-5 month turnaround, from everything I've been hearing.

What type of firearm you planing on running in that rig? I'm kinda bouncing back and forth with the Crossbreed or the Com-Tac Minotaur MTAC. Planning to carry my S&W M&P .40 full size. Just running around the house with it in a "EL-CHEPO IWB" it conceals realy nice. How ever, I'm also looking at a Kimber Ultra carry II in 45acp or 9mm. But, I can also think of a lot of things $1000 bucks can be spent on other than another new gun.....Ok may be just a few things. I can't justify spending that kinda denero on a new pistol if I can get my M&P to work for me. What is ever one else in the "MARCH CLASS" planning on carrying?

I plan on carrying a Glock 19 in a MTAC (waiting for it to be shipped) for now since that is what I already own. I definitely understand not wanting to spend $1000 on another gun.

Planning on carrying a Glock 19. The Crossbreed is very comfy. SO far I like it. Heard great things about the MTAC as well. It was between these two for me, and I might just end up getting an MTAC down the road just to try it out.

Yay! I've been reading these forums quite intently the last few months, up the build up of taking my course and now beyond! I too have finally mailed off my CHL packet, taking the course and mailing my packet with phray from page 2.

I'm thinking about getting a Comp-tac MTAC for my carry holster. Anyone ever heard anything bad about these?

I see a lot of people putting in a packet received date.... does the website update with that status or did y'all have it sent with some sort of signature required so you know when they signed for it?
