I filled the app out online, so I got my PIN when they mailed me the app, but apparently they haven't started on my packet yet (fingerprints/photos/class completion/affidavits/etc).
Keep in mind that DPS got my application about 3 weeks before they got yours and mine only just changed to "Processing". You may have to wait another 3 weeks to see that status change.
Yes, I presume that is the case. I'm just posting as a matter of comparison, so those of us on pins and needles can compare the respective timeline as it develops. With luck, in a few weeks, I will have mine "being processed".

I've been keeping track of my application through your signature since I still don't have a pin. I'm a day behind you and texas1234 and in Austin, so it's going to be interesting to see if Harris has a delay.

I can tell you Harris county is way behind........ Folks who submitted their applications in other counties are at least 30 days ahead of those who submitted them with Harris County residence....... I see people who submitted their application in March receiving them before me. I have no arrests, never been charged with anything except speeding....... And yet I am still waiting Day 93 since app was received in Austin. I kept reading things were getting better so I had hoped to receive it 2 weeks ago.

I am in Harris County so when this is done we will have a really good idea of how screwed up Harris County is.

I have zero criminal past, same address for 5 years, one job in five years, not late on any taxes or student loans.

If you live in Harris and work in another county or visa-versa, DPS does a background check in both, I was very lucky to get mine in 77 days, I don't think my wife will be as lucky.

7 weeks in, and finally the PIN shows up today... I'm pretty sure that the holster I ordered last month will show up well before the plastic! Looks like another 7-8 weeks based on what other people are posting here.

It's good to see that the app wasn't lost in the mail.

Looks like according to other people's timelines I should be getting my PIN fairly soon. Time flies when you are finishing classes and taking finals and such. Haven't even noticed it's been like 40 days

I feel you with the school and finals stuff man. I sent mine off seven weeks ago and still no PIN though. Lucky for me I'm a patient person and don't mind waiting. I've seen some guys on here that go nuts waiting LOL. I can't help but laugh at them.

No kidding. I've had so much going on in the last 6-7 weeks I haven't even really had time to wonder what was going on. In fact I hadn't even posted since way back when because I've been so caught up in other stuff. Though I could see if I was just sitting around my house all day I might go crazy too.
