Re: Hello from Arlington
Hello from Arlington TX - a few CHL-related words from my experience: took my class in January at Alpine, which is an outside range, and the temp was around 45 degrees F, with a 5-10mph wind. My fellow students were saying "well, this will account for adrenalin..."; my body was shaking so much I barely managed to shoot a 242 out of 250, but of course that's good enough - so now I just have to keep practicing to overcome cold weather/adrenaline/etc... of course, I qualified with my favorite/oldest gun, my Glock19, but I'm now carrying my RugerLCP (.380), which is pretty hard to shoot accurately, since it's such a small gun. In its defense, however, I have fired about 400 rounds through it with no problems whatsoever (lwhich is a lot more than I can say for my Walther .380).

Re: Hello from Arlington
Thanks everybody. Most appreciated.
dicion and usa1...... ok, ok, ok. I hear you talking. And you are correct. Seniors application fee to DPS is $70.
I hear you talking, for sure. Money around here has been pretty tight. The July test time frame was a pad to give me enough time to get together the funds comfortably.
I realize that the CHL instructors have the packets.....the only point being is if I get it through DPS(and pay for it at that time),it's going to be put on a c.c. and I can pay that out over time, instead of 1 fatal swoop.
Good info though, to be sure. Much appreciated.
