CHL and adderall

i was prescribed adderall about a year ago for adhd to help with my grades in school took it a couple of times but stopped because i didntlike the way it made me feel. my question is if this will effect me getting my chl already took the class just waiting to send my packet.

MIP is a class C and therefore won't disqualify you.

Not sure about the other thing though, sorry I can't help with that.

Welcome to the forum.

The law lists specific psychoses (serious mental illness) and dementia as disqualifications for a CHL. Taking antidepressants like Zoloft is not a problem.

No one seems to know how DPS actually checks medical records, or if they do at all. They don't ask for your physician's name, so I can't see how they would know whom to ask.

Mostly they check to see if you have ever been institutionalized. Outside of that they really don't care.
