Re: Stockpile Question
If you run out you didn't stockpile enough. If your foundation shifts you stockpiled too much.

Re: Stockpile Question
I might want to check that corner of the house now that it has been brought up. What may be worse is telling the fire department to get far away and let it burn if my house ever catches fire.usa1 wrote:..03Lightningrocks, do you have cracks around your doors and windows ?roberts wrote:If you run out you didn't stockpile enough. Re: Stockpile Question
I cannot say how much I have because I honestly don't know. My mom thinks I am nuts but I think I am dangerously low. Then again, some people think having more than 50 rounds is a stockpile while others believe anything less than 1 million is inadequate. I do agree 1000/caliber is the bare minimum.
Ammo is a good way to store your money. In 10 years, it would fare better than your stocks that is if in 10 years it is still legal to own and sell ammo.
There's a long thread on AR15.com about how much ammo people have. very interesting.

Please help the wounded store owner who fought off 3 robbers. He doesn't have medical insurance.

Foundation shifts are way cool...We try to guess which doors will not shut each week...I kinda changes over time...roberts wrote:If you run out you didn't stockpile enough. If your foundation shifts you stockpiled too much.

Yes, but the real question is... is the foundation's shift due to the ammo's weight? Or rather, due to the bunker you're digging out underneath it?
IANAL, YMMV, ITEOTWAWKI and all that.

Re: Stockpile Question
I try to keep enough bullets, primers and powder to load 10k of any caliber I shoot.
I generally only have 1k-2k brass of each (but would LOVE to have 10k).
How many actual rounds I have loaded is a complex formula involving fuzzy variables like how much my back hurt in the morning when I got up and how loud my wife is nagging me.

Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.
