Unemployed Computer Guy (again!)

#1

Post by newTexan »

Hi guys,

Shortly after starting my new position, the unit I was working for has been forced to reduce staff. As the last one to come on-board, I was among the first to be given notice.

I'm now seeking a position along the I-35 corridor from about Waco to Austin. I live in Temple, so a commute to either of those cities is very much within range.

I have been IT Manager for a small business, Network Administrator for a large University, and have spent most of the last two years working to design and implement systems (database systems, networking and network security systems, and the usual suite of file/print/web servers). I consider myself more of a Network Administrator / Systems Administrator than a programmer, but I do know my way around several programming and scripting languages. At this point, I have over 7 years of experience working with IT systems and have done everything from end user support to the design and implementation of new networks from the ground up.

If anyone knows of any openings, or can provide any assistance or guidance, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!
