After a lengthy conversation with Bob in Austin, he agreed that having the type of licence >51% OR <51% shold be made avalible through the TABC website. There is already some info. He was sending it to R&D to make sure it could be added. The reason I called him is someone told me the Thristy Parrot was 51% but not posted. We usally have lunch there when shooting at the impact zone. By the looks of it you might assume its a 51% but they sell a lot of 10.00 parrot burgers (btw, they are some of the best)

In twelve days, it will be a defense to prosecution if the location is not properly signed as 51%.

Our resident TABC officer has offered ways to tell. On the website, if they show a food & beverage permit, they are not 51%.

If you view their posted permit, it will say "sign=red" (51%) or "sign=blue" (not 51%).

Look up a Chili's location and you will see the entry on there under the Subordinates entry (FB)

As said before, a FB Permit means that they are NOT 51%. Guaranteed.

However, Lack of one, does not mean that they are. A place can still be non-51%, even without a FB Permit.

Bill stated above they are not 51%.

Looking up a license on the website from there database can be inconclusive. If they have a Food and Beverage (FB) they are DEFINITELY not 51%. However, the absence of that on a license displayed from the web does not mean that are or aren't 51%. the only way to tell then is to look at their physical license on premise and see if they are SIGN=RED (51%) or SIGN=BLUE (not 51%). You can also make a formal inquiry to the TABC and they can tell you.

This is another reason to have it on the website, I know for a fact the owner does not want us carrying. but he has not posted 3006, he might if people start asking to see his permit. I shoot at the impactzone often and always carry there. I would think with the number of impactzone patrons he would welcome us. I would also not take my word for this being not 51%, I am not a lair just old

How hard would it be for the TABC database to note something like "51%=Y/N" on the website? I would think if that information is in their database, a good programmer could add that code in less than an hour? Why doesn't TABC note this information on the website? Would it take a change in the law to get this information added to the website, or would a phonecall to a couple of legislators, who in turn call TABC and tell them this information should be added to the website suffice? I know that in a couple of days, it will be a defense to prosecution if the place isn't posted 51%, but what about the other side of things? Places posting 51% that aren't really 51%? This type of information being on the website is a no-brainer to me, and should be to TABC...

Ok, here's the deal with the license at the Thirsty Parrot in Monaville. Sign=Blue...believe it or not.

What's interesting is that they had the current license (10/2008-10/2009) and their last license (2007-2008) in the frame. The expired license said Sign=Red, while the current license was Sign=Blue. Their receipts must be hovering around the 50% mark I guess. There were some people in their having dinner and leaving after finishing it, but they were way outnumbered by those just sitting at the bar or playing pool. Maybe they have a packed lunch crowd.
