I carried my PT145 all summer with a Supertuck in shorts and either a t-shirt or a button down shirt, tucked or untucked. It is easier for me to carry the same thing all the time. The Sarge wrote:What a nice day we are having here in the Hill Country. So the girls ask we go eat lunch at the La Contera Mall north of San Antonio...I was wearing shorts....so I just stuck my Kel Tec .32 ACP in my pocket and away we went.
From my Glock .45 to a .32....Lordy I felt "inadequate" :)
Better than nothing I guess.

Re: Packing the Pea Shooter
The three guns you listed are all good pocket guns. They are light wieght and that's fine for carry comfort. But when it come time to shoot you pay a price for that light weight in stiff recoil which can definitely affect your second or third shot. My own choice for pocket carry is the NAA Guardian 380. It's all steel and does weigh 18oz; but that weight makes for a comfortable shooting little gun with very moderate recoil. That's important when trying to control your shots. The little gun performs flawlessly too. Just my 2ct., of course.81aggie wrote:Still waiting on my CHL but already planning on adding an LCP, Kel-Tec P3AT or Kel-Tec .32 ACP and a wallet or pocket holster to the armory for shorts and T-shirt season. Might even be picking one up for my wife who has recently informed me that she wants to start shooting and get her CHL when she's ready. You got to carry what you can when you can and you're right, it's better than nothing.

If it goes BANG! and makes a bad guy leak... then hat's off to you for carrying it. :)

There is no break in period for the LCP. It's solid out of the box, and will eat any flavor round. You've got a bad one and you should sent it back. There is such a thing a lemon Porsche and a cream-puff Hyundai; I'm sure someone, sometime bought a Smith and Wesson 1911 that sucked and never bought another. All the review sites say the same thing, "Kel Tec is a kinda' decent gun for the money after the break in period of 200 to 300 rounds, and Ruger is solid out of the box."
Don't listen to me, or any other single individual, go with the sources that have tested thousands. I don't have the time and money to take my gun to Red's 4 to 6 times before I can trust it; I don't believe in Santa Claus, or break-in periods.

I do clean all my new guns prior to shooting. Then clean after shooting.
