When I was last there, a year ago, they had a tiny sticker on the door citing some obsolete statute, and saying concealed carry was not permitted. It wasn't a valid 30.06 notice. Even if it were, it wouldn't be enforceable, as it's owned by the City of Houston, and museums aren't on the list of publicly owned facilities from which CCL's can be banned.
Be careful to keep it concealed, though. I'd hate to have to explain things to an officer that wasn't up on the law. And I wouldn't wanted to take a ride downtown and be booked, even if I was ultimately vindicated.

+1 to what Scott said.
Been there many times. On a few doors they have the signs Scott described.

I don't remember seeing a valid 30.06 sign when I was there a last year (pre-CHL, so I wasn't exactly looking for one), but I don't think the museum is owned by the City of Houston. Looking at their web site, it appears to me that they are privately owned. I could be mistaken, though.
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Well, went last night - no sign of any type, at least on the entrance I used. After that went to the Spaghetti Factory to eat and they had a very unusual sign.
"Entry with a concealed handgun is prohibited unless the handgun is the type listed on the persons concealed handgun license"
At the bar they had posted the standard NON 51% unlawful possesion sign.
Friendly service and pretty good food as well.
