While I agree that you should do some fact checking and that its tough to get Mom and Dad and Uncle bill to stop forwarding all those emails

While you are citing Snopes as a reference keep in mind its just a site done by a husband and wife in California. http://www.ojr.org/ojr/glaser/1059692646.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Its not a think tank full of researchers ... Just 2 random people from the west coast ...

If its sounds wacko and you read it on the INTERNET it probably is ... If you read it on the net AND it included a demand that you forward to 15 friends then its almost certainly crap. The good stuff is so good no one has to TELL you to tell other people about it ...

For anything referencing legislation, http://www.opencongress.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a good one too.

Hey, not a problem. I think pretty much everybody has been taken in by something at one time or another.

My ex-wife used to tell me she loved me... ...and I believed her. :mrgreen:

I can't believe people believe this nonsense. No one in their right mind would pass such garbage into law, knowing good and well it would spell the end of their political career. And if it ever did become law, are you seriously going to provide this information willingly?! Guns? I dont own any guns.......ooooooh, those guns?? I sold them years ago, they're evil. Have a nice day "rlol"

Everyone knows the old saying, "If it's too good to be true it probably isn't." Well, there's also "If it's to bad or ridiculous to be true it probably isn't."
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I just got back from the Pasadena Gun Show and I heard this same drivel. I had to explain this was false and it never was a bill that made it to the floor anywhere.
The more time a rumor is circulated, the more people seem to believe it's fact. Even when someone is presented with the facts, they chose not to believe it.

The "If it's too bad or ridiculous to be true it probably isn't." quote may need looking into. Have you watched Glenn Beck lately? "rlol"

The truth is usually stranger than fiction...or some such nonsense.
