Class C Misdemeanor for Possession & CHL

#1

Post by c.com »

I've read over the eligibility requirements front to back but I'm still not sure if my application will be affected by this:

I have a Class A and B from 2003, which led to conviction -

4/03 - arrested
9/03 - plead quilty
12/03 - all fines paid

So I'm good as far as that goes - 5 years from conviction with no current charges. Problem is, in April of 2009, I got a simple Class C possession of paraphernalia ticket by DPS outside of Houston on I-10. Just a ticket, paid it and all that but being that it is drug related, will that affect my CHL application?

I mailed my app off in late August so I'm assuming if there were to be a denial of some sort, I would have been informed by now.

Thanks

We're all looking for a sign that all is OK. I won't be sure myself until my card goes in the wallet.

You might be better off going forward to modify your behavior. Just a thought.
