Base Plate Pops Off And 9mm Fly

#1

Post by carlson1 »

Well I have switched over from my 1911's to carrying a Glock. I changed the base plate to a Pearce Grip Extension. I did not change the floor plate with the base plate. I have been carrying it this way for two weeks. I put 100 rounds through that one mag. Today while sitting (praise the Lord at home) the base plate all of sudden pops off and all 16 rounds of ammo hit the floor.   Be sure to follow the instructions. :banghead:

Thank goodness you were at home. If you'd been in Red Lobster or Hooter's or someplace, you would have surely drawn a crowd.

OK. I'm now understanding the plus zero pinky grip is "change 1 part for 1 part", whereas the plus 1 extensions are changing 2 parts for 2 parts.
i'm pretty sure i'm getting the plus zero pinky grip.(G27)
I really just want to look...... but i'll wait. :cheers2:

It could have been worse, it could have happened to him at a moment where he really needed those rounds!
