Grand Lodge tour in Waco, Texas

#1

Post by NCC1701A »

I will be traveling to Waco, Texas and taking the tour of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas. Am I legal/ok to carry into the bulilding and take the tour, or will I have to leave my CHL locked up in the truck? I looked at the "places weapons prohibited" part of the Texas CHL and I dont see anything about museums and tours.

Thanks

I would say only if it was posted 30.06. I don't think it fits into any of the prohibited places.

Sorry, I can't recall. I was up there a few years ago doing some Networking and computer support.
I don't remember seeing a 30.06 posting.

Here is there contact info:

Just let them know you have a CCW permit, they are really nice people.

Thanks,

As a proud member of the Grand Lodge of Texas, I can almost guarantee that there is not a 30.06 posting there. Masons as a general rule believe in individual freedom and the responsibilities that go with it.

As a side note, the structure in Waco is Quite remarkable, also the Grand Lodge (as a corporate entity) is the ONLY organization other than Baylor that was chartered under the Republic of Texas.

Thanks for the info. Sorry I didn't reply sooner I have been on the road. I just wanted to make sure before I went. I didn't want to get to the front door and have to turn around and put it in the truck which would telegraph to everyone around. And to Purplehood I am a die-hard Trekkie "Live Long and Prosper" :tiphat:
