Minotaur vs. Crossbreed
Looking for opinions on a comparison between the Minotaur and Crossbreed IWB holsters. Since cost is just about the same, I'm seeking info on comfort and overall satisfaction for either one.

Re: Minotaur vs. Crossbreed
Love both of my cowhide Crossbreeds (Glock and Walther PPS). Mark - the owner - is very professional, prompt, and easy to deal with. He took a full money back return on an IWB mag holster I didn't like, and when my original plastic belt clips broke the other day, the had brand new metal replacements in the mail to me in a few days.
Very comfortable holsters. With the slimmer Walther, I sometimes forget I have it on.
Never owned a C-Tac, though I do like the look of their products. One complaint I've heard more than once is that C-Tac dropped their lifetime warranty?
Big difference between the two is how they mount the belt clip struts. Crossbreed puts multiple holes in leather and one hole in clip strut. C-Tac has one hole in the leather and multiple in the clip strut. Also not sure if C-tac offers metal clips (not necessarily a bad thing, the metal ones can scratch a leather belt if you're not careful).

+1 I finally wore my M-tac two days ago. I found I didn't need to wear a size larger jeans either and I do wear my jeans so they fit! I got this holster to have one in my carry options bag for my women handgun classes. As I had it I figured I would give it a try. I am very pleasantly surprised at the comfort and concealability of the M-tac.gwashorn wrote:I love my M-tac but have not used the Crossbreed.

MTAC is very comfortable. The clips do not harm my belt. I also like that the clips themselves are unobtrusively thin.

Re: Minotaur vs. Crossbreed
Yes the M-Tac is very comfortable and even in summer time very nice. I wear my jeans fitted as well.... OK, not really I just got bigger and now they fit tight. but I digress.... I used my M-tac the other day and still easy fitting, does not take much belt/waist room and comfortable. I carry an XD9SC. so not a slim pistol. I usually wear a Bianchi Carrylok OWB but at times IWB is easier. What I did have to do, and this is told time and time again, you have to dress to carry. I have always carried my wallet in my right hip pocket. IWB or OWB I had a problem accessing my wallet for a 3:30 carry position. I have now moved it to the left pocket. Now I access and use the OWB or IWB easily. The mag pouch moves to keep the wallet covered or revealed.

My Supertuck is very comfortable. I've worn it all day while on my feet or all day driving with no problems.

Appreciate the responses. This will be for the XD9SC and these two top the list right now. Sounds like I can't go wrong with either one.

FL450,
Sorry, I have not tried a Crossbreed. I am a very loyal customer to Comp-tac. I appreciate the products, the company philosophy, and customer service to the point that I just don't see a reason to shop around. Comp-tac products have never failed me! And trust me I USE/ABUES my holsters a lot. And to top it off they are made in TEXAS, Spring to be precise. I prefer to shop Texas whenever possible.

My MTAC should show up tomorrow. I too will be carrying an XD9C. I will let you know how it works out for my rather-large-waisted-selfBayllor wrote:Appreciate the responses. This will be for the XD9SC and these two top the list right now. Sounds like I can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks Compvest, Just two more questions?
1) Do you find it comfortable in the summer? I noticed gwashorn did?
2) if you have one or both clips set on the highest hole do you have any issues if you tuck in a shirt?
Thanks in advance and again ballot thanks for allowing me to Interupt.
