chl in state owned buildings/property?

Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything on this even after doing a search.

My question is: it is ok to chl in a state building or state property (ie: lock a cc in your car), more specifically is it ok for state employees to chl while at work in a state owned building? I know you can't cc in a court house or buildings attached to it.

Just want to be abslutely sure on this.

Yes.

On government owned property that is not prohibited in 46.035, 30.06 notice is not valid.
Eg, they cannot prevent you from carrying there.

You cannot be arrested/tried, but you CAN be fired. Arrest and employment are 2 different things.

As a retired (and former) Texas state employee, I can say that carrying at work in a state building depends on the individual agency policy. The agency I worked for had no policy against carrying on duty so I did so. I understand that other agencies, (TxDOT for one) have written policies against carrying.
