Hi from another new member.

I'm 37
Male
Live in Nederland, TX
I work in Information Technology
Married

I do not yet have a CHL, but I did submit my online application to the DPS about 30 minutes ago...

I'll be taking the CHL Class on March 6.

I believe that my carry equipment will be a Glock 23, but I have not purchased yet. I own two PA-63s, but would not want to defend my life with them, so I am still looking for something else.

Thanks to all of you for this great forum!

Hi Vic, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you with us. :tiphat:

There's a wealth of information regarding CHL and guns in general right here at your fingertips. And a wonderful group of gals & guys to get to know.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help you on your journey. And read, read, read while you are waiting to take the class. I too applied online and took my class 45 days after I did, and I learned sooooo much in that time.

Btw, good choice on the carry gun! :thumbs2:

Carry gun is usually a Browning Hi-Power, but often a 1911 of some sort.

Hi all, finally found the HELLO thread.

I am a "woman of a certain age"...40...and FABULOUS!
Divorced with 2 amazing kids.
Dating my high school sweetheart almost 23 years later and happier than I have ever been.
Living in Round Rock and commuting to San Antonio a bit to spend time with MTICop.
Office facilitator/manager for a health and welfare brokerage firm in Austin...but getting ready for a career change I think...

Waiting for the CHL to come in the mail and will be carrying a Sig P6 until I make other decisions.
