Wally Walk

#1

Post by brewdawg »

Well, finally got around to making the Wally Walk last night. Wife and I needed groceries and other items so decided to get the walk in as well.

Also, had a Chuy's chowdown with some friends last night while carrying. So all in all it was good. But it did seem a little weird to have a pistol on my hip.

Now I just have to make the wife understand why I need more than 1 holster. The Blackhawk IWB isn't bad, but not really going to cut it for everyday carry. Hoping to get a Crossbreed Supertuck sometime soon.

Seems like the Chuy's near me in Houston has a 51% sign. Which one did you go to?

The SuperTuck is completely worth the money I could wear mine all day. It's the first holster I bought and I don't plan on buying another one anytime soon.

If they do, then the sign is not valid. Per the TABC database, all Chuy's (the chain) restaurants have Food and Beverage permits, which mean there is no way they are 51% locations.

Pretty soon it will feel weird to not have a pistol on your hip. ;-)

Congrats on the first of many Wally Walks. :txflag:

Congrats on the Wally Walk! Welcome to the club.

Another good holster is the Comp-Tac MTAC http://www.comp-tac.com/p ... urn false;. One good thing about these is the local stores that carry them. You can go and try one out.

Keith, I thought about it, and I don't know what I was thinking, there wasn't a 51% sign there. :headscratch

The MTAC is awesome, what i've been using for my g26.

Though I haven't seen it in any local stores, care to share where they are?

and to the OP, Congrats on the wally walk! Next time snap some pics for us though!

Congratulations! In time you will feel "weird" when you are not carrying. The cross breed is a fine holster. I wear one when I carry my CZ PCR and it is unbelieveably comfortable. I have the M TAC ordered just to try it out. After all, more is less, no? "rlol"

I did my wally walk last week and I kept making sure my shirt tail was down over it. I have a friend who got his CHL years back and he said that in the beginning of carrying your weapon it feels kinda of weird then you eventully don't think about it. He said he was always paranoid and making sure his shirt was covering his weapon and he was always cautious when bending down forward making sure his shirt did not raise up and show his piece. Now he doesn't even think about it.

x3 on the Comp-Tac

Comp-Tac belts are superb too. Mine is contoured, with kydex reinforcement, and velcro sewn in (for velcro clips, so none of those belt clips are showing) Great setup with a Comp-Tac holster.

I wear a Glock 26/27 with Glock 19 magazine and spacer at 3:00, spare Glock 17 mag sometimes, and Spare 33 Round mag in the car. I'm 6'00" and 176 lbs, pretty thin and it stil conceals very well. The shorter slide of the 26/27 is comfortable, but I like having 16 rounds instead of 10/12 and the Glock 19 to Glock 27 mag spacers on the Glock 19 magazine make it easier to grip.

If you want your belt clips to show, and want smooth leather next to your gun AND smooth horsehide next to your skin, check out the COMFORT CARRY© http://www.jndtactical.com/deluxe.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or http://www.jndtactical.com/custom.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wow. Horsehide/kydex hybrid tuckable hoster for $50. Has anybody tried one of these?

Pretty impressive. Could give Crossbreed some competition.
