About a month ago, I picked a S & W Military & Police in 9mm. I purchased it for shooting IDPA primarily. Shoots like a DREAM!!! I've shot just one match with it so far, but it points so naturally for me that I may even consider one of these in a compact model for carry at some point in the future. :thumbs2:

Picked up a 9mm STI Guardian at the GRB this morning.

Assuming the weather is fit, we'll visit the range next Saturday.

Nice, I just got a Full size M&P 45 and have a M&P 40 compact. If you think you might want to shoot 9 or 40, buy the compact in a 40 cal and you can buy a conversion barrel for it to also shoot 9. (You cant buy a 9 compact and convert to 40) I bought a 9mm conversion barrel from Storm Lake just so I have the option to shoot 9 if needed and the practice ammo is cheaper than 40. It shoots great.

I have been reading about the Storm Lake conversion barrels, but I didn't know they made 'em for the compact. To cool!!

Just today bought a Ruger Single Six in .32 H&R magnum.
Looks like a baby Vaquero.

My latest purchase was a Ruger LCP.380 on Wednesday 2/24. Was looking for a KahrP.380 or a Sig P238 couldn't find either so got the little LCP instead. Went to the range with it today and was not disappointed with my latest purchase. Only drawback (IMO) is the fact the slide doesn't lock open on the last shot. It is light weight and small so there is a bit of a recoil but not so much that I couldn't handle it and it didn't eat my hand or warp my thumb outta shape like that Kel-Tec P11 did. This is now my daily carry. I would like to ask a question while I am here and that is: How bad does it mess up the firing pin when you pull the trigger and there is no ammo in there to fire? I didn't count my shots today so after every 6th shot there was a dry one. I ran 150 rounds thru it today so divide that by 6 and that is how many times there was a dry fire. No FTF or FTE or jams, and I was firing it pretty fast. I am kind of a novice when it comes to gun operation knowledge, that is why I am asking this question.

I had to tell someone about my great purchase yesterday from the gunshow. I always get there and wait for them to open so I can look at everyones guns outside before they trade them to a vendor or get lost in the croud. I didn't have any luck yesterday before the gunshow, but I did however on my second to last isle before I left, I found a uniformed LEO fresh out of the academy selling his glock 27 that he said was shot about five times and he just needed something with more capacity. I gave him my "capacity without capability speech" while I opened the case to find a LNIB glock with three clips and a ankle holster. I couldn't tell that it had been shot from the outside, it's in that kind of condition. I ask the LEO how much he tells me 350 I didn't even try to haggle with him I pulled my money from my two pockets (300 in one and 100 in my other than I carry a little more in my wallet so I can play the I'm young and dont have much money card) and pay him. I gave him address and he said he will be sending me a bill of sale. After I bought it I took it to the glock guy, (yall from Houston know who I'm alking about with the black sign) he takes it apart and tells me it has a 3.5 connector and has been shot less than 25 times. Who says there are not any good deals at the gunshow? I guess I just need to find an LEO that gets 25% off his next puchase. Yall think that's a good deal?

Love those 239's. Friend of mine at my deer lease owns one and I got a chance to shoot. It's a great gun and is on my list for eventually getting one. Once I buy some other higher priority firearms.

As for my latest firearm to get. I inherited a Sako 7mm Mag, currently it has been sent off to be Duracoated due to old bluing and needing the stock refinished a little bit. I don't have pictures for the "Show" part, but when I get it back you can bet I'm going to post some snap-shots.

I just purchased a new Nighthawk Talon from Bud's gun shop. It has the titanium blue frame and black slide. I can't wait for it to get here. It was a toss up between this gun and a Wilson Combat CQB but the Nighthawk has a bit more bang for the buck. Here's a link to the gun.

My latest buy was a couple months ago. I purchased a Kimber Rapter II. It has performed flawlessly. Here is an internet photo of it.
