I would like to buy a CHL badge and wear it while i carry. Is this legal? I know they sell them and who else would they be for, what do you all think?

For what its worth. I really do not want anyone to know that I am carrying... Why attract unneeded attention?

Welcome to the board Phillip. I think you will find that all the "veterans" will tell you that it is a very unnecessary announcement that you are armed. There are a few that think it borders on impersonating an officer by appearance. ie: no one really gets close enough to read the CCW wording on the badge. As of my post there are 5 votes no & only 3 posts. I believe this will be the general oppinion.

Wearing (or having) a badge if you are not a police officer is a very bad idea. It will only bring you trouble from the public and the police as well. Save your money and buy a good holster instead.

Welcome to the forum...stick around for a while and learn...there are some great folks that frequent this board.

A CHL badge IMO would be a complete waste of money....buy some ammo or give it to the NRA!

Seriously, let this be the last time this topic is brought up. If by your handle if CCPD does not mean "Concealed Carry Police Dept", you can clear up a lot of confusion. I am not slamming your handle, just trying to figger out from whence you are coming from.

As LT said, welcome to the forum. We welcome nearly anything on this board. Nearly.

It is strange and kinda funny if you think about it. You pratice, go to class, pass the test, send in paper work, wait, wait and wait some more and then when you finally get it your told to hide it and don't tell any one you have it.

.... but after you think about it for a few minutes it is the only eway to go.
