Ammo buying experience

I went to Academy to buy some of my beloved Monarch 9mm ammo and decided to just go back to the good old Blazers. So I asked the gun counter guy for a case of it.

I just replied "yeah" when he mentioned "That should keep you busy for a while". What really went thru my mind was, "gee, this 1K ammo is probably going to last me only 2 weeks".

My wife is right, and I just didn't realize it until right now. There's something wrong w/ me for sending so many innocent bullets down range so frequently.

I prefer to think of it as ... setting them free.

I feel it is my duty to set them free, as many as is possible in one session.
Funny thing is, they become happy, and I become happy.

Or, tell them you are field reporting on Quality Control.
Your purpose is to seek out and return those cartridges that fail to function.
Hard work, but someone has to do it!

Just a little bit over $120. It was a case of Blazer, which has 20 boxes.

Yes, it has really gone up, used to just cost $80 (plus tax, course, Farm Use, predator control, exempt from sales tax. )
