LWRC M6A2
LWRC M6A2
Does anyone have experience with a LWRCI product? I am looking to purchase a piston operated AR and everything I have read about thier products has been positive. Just curious if anyone has any personal experience.

Re: LWRC M6A2
From what I've seen/read/heard, they had some issues back when they were simply Leitner-Wise but ever since they changed their name to LWRC they've gone through a QC rehash. The newer ones are even more solid than those made as recently as 2-3 years ago, considering the exo coating and one-piece carrier. I have never shot one but from what I can tell and from what has been written, you purchased a very high quality piston AR. Congrats and give us a range report!
Also, what color did you get? The MRE is gorgeous...

You can come try my LMT piston. It's in the same class as LWRC.Kalel wrote:Does anyone have experience with a LWRCI product? I am looking to purchase a piston operated AR and everything I have read about thier products has been positive. Just curious if anyone has any personal experience.
*edit* I had "grunched" the post. Just saw you got one - in this case I'd be curious to meet up and shoot each other's rigs to get more first hand info. LWRC was one of the guns I was looking at.

It shot very well. I was suprised by the snappier feel. We had another gas operated AR there for comparison. The gas system seemed spongy compared to the piston system. The M6 seemed accurate enough, did not try to test the accuracy, was having too much fun running Three gun training drills.
Went with all black I plan to color match it to my nighthawk talon black and sniper grey.

Nice to hear all went well. I have never heard a piston system making a rifle more snappy. But the physics of it make sense. Moving parts instead of moving air.

Re: LWRC M6A2
I was a little suprised myself. I parttly attributed it to the mechanical system, but the bolt is alot beefier so the added weight moving to the rear could be a contributer as well. Either way it was worth it. It was a very pleasant bonus how much cleaner it was.

Re: LWRC M6A2
Also the pressure from the gas is not "used up" cycling the weapon, it just has to actuate a small piston head. I don't mind the slight snap for the EASE OF CLEANING on mine.
