are you talking about the range on the South side of 2351 between Beamer and Blackhawk, or some other?

nice. the original owner had cancer, hopefully he is still alive. Glad to see the place is getting a makeover, it really needed it.

We are going to work on some shooting at the range @ 5 this Sunday. The new name is Best Shot Shooting Range, Friendswood. We'll do some shooting drills, probably DEA dots/FBI Q targets and a few scenarios. Depending on shooting experience we'll start from low ready or concealment. I am hoping we can have this as a weekly event.

Let me know if you can make it and if you have any questions feel free to e-mail glockfanATcomcastDOTnet or PM me.

Folks, fm2 recently helped me out with instruction on grip/stance/trigger - it was very beneficial to me. If you get to go, you will find this very worthwhile. :thumbs2:

I quit going there years ago because they had no working smoke removal system and in general the place had a rather unwelcoming vibe.

I got a "do your shooting and get out" feel to it.

Also the dirt road leading up to the place was like something out of a third world country it was so potholed.

I hope these problems have been addressed?

What is it about gun ranges in Friendswood that they have to have dirt roads going to them?

Try Dickinson
and while going slowly have people speed by and stir up rocks and sand so you can't see where you are going, and try to dodge dump trucks at the same time, no thanks.

I tried sending them an email April 20, asking about their hours. No response. Truth be told, I forgot about them until seeing this thread again.

Some fun shooting skills with fm2 leading the group the other night. The place is still under construction but all the lanes are good. The new owner there Matt, is a pretty good guy. :thumbs2:
