Congratulations.

I just sent my packet off on Monday. Certified mail shows that it was received on Wednesday. I'm sure I'll be delayed by the fingerprinting delay that is noted on the DPS website. I'm not known for great timing.

My packet was mailed off about 2 weeks ago.

Someone else mailed it for me as I have to work until after the post office is closed. They did not send it certified.

I called DPS today and they said it has not been input into the computer yet. The lady that answered the phone says all payments go to another department first and they process the payments and then input it in.

Waiting now. No pin. No nothing.

Not to worry about not sending certified. I sent mine regular, remember, if they lose the packet you can go back to the instructor and fill out the papers. Odds are in your favor that they will not lose it.
Looking at a XDm 3.8 40 cal. I rented one during my training and it was flawless with UMC ammo.

Alamo5000 you should get your pin shortly, it takes a while [abbreviated profanity deleted] them to get the process started than it goes by quick. Quick is a relative term, 30-45 days isn't long but it feels so long with all the suspense.
