Which IWB holster do you use during the summer time? I bought 4 now and still haven't found the right one that is comfortable without an undershirt.

Same one I use in winter -- CompTac CTAC. I always wear an undershirt, even with a Tshirt worn as the outer garment. Makes a big diff in comfort.

Same one I wear during the winter, Comptac Minotaur for my XD or Tucker Texas Heritage for the .45. Both fine holsters.

Only two IWBs I've own...but then again I buy my shoes off the rack without trying them on. I guess I'm not to particular.

I like leather holsters. I use the Milt Sparks Versa Max II.

You don't get rash on your skin with this big plastics stuck to you?

I am currently carrying a LCP in a Crossbreed Mini Tuck without a T-Shirt under my short sleeve shirt untucked.
Its don't bother me at all.I tryed those Target Merona (wife beater) undershirts and i was just too hot.
I carry at about 4:30....i have a Super Tuck coming for my new 45ACP Kimber Ultra Carry and plan to do the same.

Neither my carry modes nor gun selections change based upon a change in the season. The only thing that really changes is my pant legs and shirt sleeves get shorter - oh, and I don't wear my boots with my shorts.

Comp-Tac CTAC for me.

All my IWB for summer carry are Galco ultimate second amendment holsters. They work well.

Crossbreed Supertuck year round .... that or the Comp Tac M-TAC "Minotaur" are heavy favorites on this forum. You likely won't go wrong with either choice. There are other similar holsters out there, but these two seem to be the most popular. Tucker Gunleather makes a nicer version but it's also much more expensive (twice as much maybe?) .... a few others, can't remember names off top of my head.

Depending on which gun you carry, check eBay. I occassionally see Comp-Tac unloading their factory seconds on there - $65 for a Minotaur (not a great deal, but saves you $15).

no, the holster part that rests against my skin is leather. VERY smooth....like air. ;-)

Funny you mention this. I use a supertuck and it is leather on the side against my skin. I noticed I was getting an itchy sensation on my side and looked in the mirror. The leather was putting a rash on my skin right where it lays against my side. I have been pocket carrying a lot lately with my Kahr P380. I am getting lazy and it just seems easier to stick holster and gun into pocket than holstering up with my belt and all. The added benefit of no holster rash is gravy.

Summer special, of course.

I use an Mtac without an under shirt in the summer.....with one in the winter. The horse hide back liner doesn't seem to absorb too much moisture, when compared with cow hide or Kydex.....make me sweat like a polyester leisure suit.
