You said that there is only one difference between a permanent alien resident, and a citizen - the right to vote. That is wrong. There are at least two differences - the right to vote, and whether or not one can be deported. A resident alien, permanent or not, can be deported. A citizen cannot.

Yes, but till I'm deported don't I have the same rights as a citizen except the right to vote? So far, I haven't been deported. So my opinions here shouldn't be dismissed because I'm a mere GC holder. Right?

Not my imagination. People said as a US permanent resident, I should not be expressing my opinion but wait till I can vote. Seems like a distraction tactic because they don't want to answer the substantive points I made. People who did answer were largely sympathetic to my point of view: i.e. correct strategy is to make immigration by law-abiding foreigners easier and take pressure off the border, obviating the need for the fence.

I re-read some of your posts.

I do not agree that if you streamline immigration process or temp work VISA, illegal immigration will cease to exist or drastically easy. There are so many who wants to come to US to make a buck and NOT interested in paying taxes, or even going through the hoops and pay for the legal fees to come legally to US. Even if US instated easy to follow process there are so many who just do not want to follow any rules or pay a dime to come to US legally. Others, as you mentioned wants to do the impossible to leave their country and run after the American dream. In addition, US may still want to control the number of immigrants regardless, and many more still want to come anyway.

Securing the Border is critical for the national interest of the country.

BTW, I find the real obstacle to come and succeed in US is not the financial capacity to afford to immigrate, it is the language, English language. I find it ridiculous that my Gardner who lawn my yard can't speak 3 words of English in comprehensible sentence and I am sure he's been here for years. It is just misery for me to communicate with him and I find him insecure with his day-to-day dealings. Some will just prey on some poor guys like my Gardner.

No offense meant, but you must have serious reading comprehension problems. You have been told repeatedly that no is telling you not to express your opinion, yet you continue to insist that they are. Furthermore, you've contended several times that you have made substantive points that others have agreed with when that is simply not the case. I would suggest that you go back and read all the responses to your contentions, but I've already learned from experience that you will ignore what others have said and continue to plow ahead with your point of view while misrepresenting what others have written, as you have here.

One wonders what your goal in all this is.

Unless you have some novel reading methodology, the law clearly states that the penalties for illegally entering the US can be both civil and criminal.

I think what is confusing things is that it is a criminal offense to enter the country illegally. However, it is only a civil offense to be here without authorization/documentation. The government does not try to convict on the illegal entry unless they actually catch the person entering illegally. It is just too expensive and time-consuming to prove after the fact that the person entered illegally.

I think this is a problem from any of the cultures that isolate them selves into the ethnic communities. At my job we have a lot of Mexicans, Laos,vietnamese, Cambodians etc. Some of the Asians speak 2 Asian languages but most the line workers have trouble speaking English and the company enables this by printing everything in Spanish and Vietnamese. Before my wife came here I wrote to DPS asked if they had a Chinese language drivers manual, reply was no only English. I thought that was at least fair, then she gets here studies in English and takes the test in English while I am waiting for her to finish the person behind the counter is handing out Spanish language drivers manuals. Go figure.
