Status 6/10:
"License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page."
Mine has said the same thing for probably about a week now. I'm hoping to get status soon.

Still no status, i'm resisting the urge to email them. I'll probably give it until Friday.

That must be new. WHen I was waiting, I logged in many, many times per day and never received anything like that. :confused5

Thanks for all the posts about waiting times. I just mailed my application yesterday (June 16th) certified mail. I'll check the DPS web-site in a few days for status.

As it will take 30 days (minimum) to get your license approved, and normally at least 15 days (upto 20 days) to get it even online, don't sweat the time, and looking will drive you nuts, as it has done to everyone else (including me)... wait till July 1 and check, or even July 6 before checking the first time.
Even if you have an issue with it, you will be notified by mail with the issue and cant really do anything until you get the snail mail anyway.

So my best advice, for today, don't check it often, or at all, until at least 20 days from now.
Save the grief.

TexasTony wrote:Hello, this is my first post to the forum as well. I have been lurking here for about the past couple of months researching the chl process. Being new to this whole thing, I didn't really have anything to contribute until now. I took my CHL class on May 22nd and mailed in the completed application on June 1st (the day after memorial day).

I'll just have to wait patiently now and cross my fingers that the ink fingerprints I sent are acceptable :totap:
I have the same dates as you do and am still waiting for something other than the "we mailed it and are waiting for you to send your stuff message" on Texas Online.
Same here, they should have received my packet on the 1st. I'm really hoping something pops up this weekend for it.

I tell myself this same advice all the time..........once I kept myself from checking till almost lunchtime, most days I wind up checking before I leave for work. No status yet. :waiting:

I promise myself I won't check again till Saturday...............or maybe not. :banghead:
