Glock Against A Body

#1

Post by Abraham »

If, in the awful event one has to put a Glock barrel against, that is pushed into contact with the body of a deadly assailant - will it still fire?

Or, will it not fire, as the slide is now pushed slightly out of proper alignment?

Anyone know?

Thanks

This may help answer your question. And yes it will still fire if the muzzle is pressed into something. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAG-Jm7rUhA

There is no profanity in this video and it is educational. (so i hope i am not breaking the TOS rules)

And this one made me laugh. Please don't try it at home though, he is a trained retard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTbMUI7yAbM

I realize a snub-nose .38 has a reputation as a less-than-ideal firearm in terms of external ballistics and stopping power, but I didn't think you actually had to PUNCH THE BADGUY with the gun before you shot him in order to be effective. In all the old gangsta movies the loan shark will pistol whip a guy with a snubbie, but only if he still won't bow unto Caesar, will he shoot the guy in the back of the head. This guy has it all wrong, he pistol whips the grocery bag, but doesn't give the grocery bag time to back down and beg forgiveness before shooting it. I think that goes against the gangsta code of ethics.

BTW, keeping your distance from a BG is what you should be doing. I don't ever want to find out if my gun will fire when pressed into a BG, I hope it would but that whole situation could put you into some questionable legal issues. For example, if the guy is armed and wanted to take your life why did you press your pistol into his head and fire? :headscratch

Now, I know you did it because you had no choice...but prosecutors will see that as quite odd and more like an assassination. The other side isn't going to play nice.

Don't worry. No girl in her right mind will ever give him the opportunity. "rlol"

Agree with .30calSolution. Best practice is to put distance between yourself and the goblin. Anything you can do to them up close and personal, they can do back to you. This guy lives in the shallow end of the gene pool.

To add a little more info to this. You should realize that shot placement is the key to ending the confrontation quickly, should you need to use deadly force. If you manage to get a direct shot to the BG's head and hus gray matter he will drop. But, even if you manage a clean shot to his heart he still has about 30 seconds to do some serious harm to you and your family before his lights go out. Think about how much damage a person could do with a knife in 30 seconds. A while back me and a few friends tried to see how fast we could close a 21 foot distance between us, it only took 2-3 seconds. You want to put as much distance between you and the BG as possible. If running is an option it's one I am using. If you run you can live to fight another day. If I can't run then I'm going out with my boots on!

Just something to think about.

Problem here is there are girls out there that are not in their right mind that will give him a chance and then we get the offspring of 2 that should not have bred.

Um, just to be clear, it takes about 1/4" of rearward slide travel to take a Glock out of battery. All safeties engage and the pistol won't fire.

That last guy will be missing some fingers (and possibly a hand) in his next video.

lkd,

Thanks, that's the information I was seeking.

Why did I ask this question?

Sometimes scenarios occur wherein up close and sudden encounters happen and one needs to know if the handgun of choice, in this case a Glock, will still fire.

No question such a scenario as I've limitedly outlined is to be avoided - if it can be...
