5.11 tactical shorts on a tall guy?
i was wondering who here has the 5.11 tactical shorts and is tall? i'm 6'4" and just worried that the shorts will be way too short for me. i cant stand shorts that are more that about an inch from the middle of my knees. i have their pants and they are great, just dont want daisy dukes.

I own a pair, but I'm not tall. They fit me fine, but mine are the.... ...."generous" size.

I'm average height and the normal 5.11 shorts fall just above my knee. I think they have an 8-9" inseam.lowonair wrote:i was wondering who here has the 5.11 tactical shorts and is tall? i'm 6'4" and just worried that the shorts will be way too short for me. i cant stand shorts that are more that about an inch from the middle of my knees.
Then stay away from their academy shorts. They have an even shorter inseam.lowonair wrote:i have their pants and they are great, just dont want daisy dukes.

I'm 6'4" and wear 5.11 shorts all the time.
not every pair is sized exactly the same, but have never had a problem with length.
5.11 shorts are very well made. I have nylon shorts that will probably last forever (After a few years I had to have the pockets replace as my knife and keys created a some holes)

You can opt to buy whatever cargo shorts you want and get a holster that can fit inside the pocket of the shorts. I tried this three years ago and still use this during the summer....

It's not what I'd call a fast access solution but at you can carry wearing shorts and your shirts tucked in. I've never had an issue with it and it's complete concealment.
For what it's worth....
