It's actually a two hour block of firearms / tactical type shows beginning at 8am (CST) and it's 4 shows. They are "What If", "Because Lives Depend On It", "Practical Tactical" and "Conceal and Carry School." They are all very good.

Sounds like real good programming for CHLs. Are these programs rerun at any other times during the week - very early mornings, etc.?? I'd sure like to catch up with what I missed yesterday.

I just checked my Uverse guide and it only shows them being aired on Saturday mornings.

Saw most of one show. Does seem to have way too many commercials. Kinda like watching the DVD from Crimson Trace where they are trying to sell you a laser.

I do hope it gets better....
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

I watched one episode. Good in principle, but the example case of why a previously unarmed victim now needed a handgun was not well chosen.

She was knocked off her bicycle while riding down a sidewalk, thrown to the ground, beaten and robbed. A handgun would have done her no good, might have been stolen, or used against her. What she needed to learn was situational awareness. Maybe that will come up in the class.

I'll watch future episodes, but hope they make more sense.

Why not? A lot of people have defended themselves effectively with handguns after much worse starts than a sidewalk-speed bike fall.

Of course, that's another good reason not to ride on the sidewalk.

Sat. at 9:30 AM when no one will see it. Sorry to be so negative, but that was my first reaction. Still better than not at all.

I just got around to watching what I had on the DVR. Not only did I spend a good amount of time skipping commercials, the whole show was full of product placement (every shooter had a shirt or baseball cap with advertising).

All of the personal stories of what made these people get to where they are a part of the show, and I get it. I would of liked them to concentrate more on tips, techniques, training, common mistakes, tactical what-ifs, etc.

I did not have any personal tradgey in my life that pushed me towards getting my CHL. I did not go down this path because I am or was a victim of anything. That just seems to be a part of this series.

I appreciate the educational aspects of the show, but guess I wanted more trainable/actionable items vs the "human" side to it.

I had the same opinion on "top-shot". When it got to be more about the "who was going to be at elimination", and who you were going to partner with to get so-and-so voted out, I kinda glazed over and lost interest. If I wanted to watch survivor or bachelor, I would. I am not the bigest reality TV fan if you can't tell!
