I've been carrying my new RIA compact tactical model for a little over a month now after having done a "breakin" and run through with carry ammo. I did a couple of mods to suit my taste which included a Wilson trigger and ambi safety, some Ergo XT grips, and a "fluff and buff". It's a great shooting gun and is much easier to carry in hotter weather than the government model I had been carrying.

Here's a shot of them together.

Hello from San Antonio, as well there, fella.

Nice 1911. I have never fired a RIA. How do they shoot?

Those M&P compacts are so nice.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere. -Thomas Jefferson

my carry rig.jpg
Colt Officers' ACP with a 7rd. Kimber mag. in High Noon with on 10rd CMC mag. and one 8rd. Wilson mag. in Don Hume on a Galco COP belt with Ruger LCP in my front left Pocket. This is my any and all weather carry if I step foot out of my yard. The High Noon really pulls the colt up high and tight, Its way more comfortable the IWB, and the holster is only about 1 1/2" below my belt. If my shirt does come up enough to expose the holster it looks like shadow or a cell phone.
