Now we're talkin'! Mine went from "not eligible to access this site" to "every thing's done but the back ground check" over night. It took 10 calendar days from the time I mailed my pack to get to this point. I'm glad they finally updated my stuff.

Okay... That was a nice little bit of excitement. Now it's back to waiting.

That would be great, but I'm keeping my expectations as low as possible. That way if it does end up being a quick turn around, it'll be a really nice surprise.

Well Here I am again still don't understand the process and delay on some and quick input on other apps.
I mailed mine on the 3 Aug. Sent money order should have sent a check as I could see if it was cashed or not as a Postal money order requires you to pay $5.50 just to see if it has been cashed. Bummer Is there any way to see if they have even recieved my packet as yet?? Its been 2 weeks and nothing on the tracking site I keep getting the "you have exceeded the 24 hr. notice," I know be patience.
Question, If i ping the tracking site say in the A.M. and I get the dreaded notice of exceeded the 24 hr. thing if I try again later that day and they have made progress and placed the notice in the tracking site will it show if its in progress or do I have to wait the full 24 hrs.

I just checked the site and wasn't expecting to see much since it's only been 9 days since FedEx delivered the package, but instead I see:

That's how mine looks, except for the Background Check line, which says "Under Review". I sent mine in on the 9th and they received it on the 11th, so you're a bit farther along than me ... but I have a tremendously common surname (Smith, yes it really is), so I expect it takes longer to sort me out from all the other females with my name.

Holy cow! 9 days and you're already through the checks? I really, really hope mine isn't far behind yours. I'm 9 days in from mailing also.. maybe mine will go to "Manufacturing" in the next week.

Now I'm jealous! My surname is very rare, not even a ticket since '84, and my background check and fingerprints are still under review.....

lol, I can't complain since I've been putting this CHL thing off for over two years. I figure I can wait and suffer for my procrastination.

I usually consider the lottery a tax on people who are bad at math, but I'm going to make an exception this time and get one. I need some cash to pick up something a little more concealable than my Glock 17 anyway!

I am new to the forum, so I'll start by saying hello. I took the class in February, sent in paper application and docs 8/4/10. Status on "Texas online" is about what I would come to expect after reading some of the other posts. The dreaded triangle for finger prints, passport holder and back ground. I would guess they are on target being that it has only been 2 weeks since it was received. So, like all of those before me, I will sit back and impatiently and eagerly await the arrival of the card.

Yes indeed, did the digital fingerprints and the on-line application, all prior to taking the class. I'm very comfortable with on-line data transfer and transactions anyway, and the folks I know who went the paper route all had issues, so I went electronic.

Interesting.....

I just read over here that some forum members are receiving plastic even though their web status still reports "Manufacturing Pending". The linked comment got theirs 8 days after that status change.
