Wow, I'm just glad you didn't open fire on the open doorway (i.e. your across-the-street-neighbor's house)!!!

My wife and I may be paranoid (OK mostly her), but this happens about once a week. She wakes me up saying that she heard a noise in the house, or outside her window, and asks me to check it out. I grab my nightstand gun out of its safe, along with the Mag light (and usually one of the dogs), and go take a look. Hasn't been anything weird yet, but its good to know that she is such a light sleeper.
On rare occasions she will hear something outside before we go to bed, and I have gotten practice drawing from carry position in those cases.
