I Saw a CHL Badge Yesterday

#1

Post by chuckybrown »

I was out shopping with my wife yesterday. Another man was in the store with his wife, talking rather loudly on his cell phone....which is what drew my attention. I look at him, and on his fanny pack is a gold badge. I tell myself "certainly not"....so I get a closer look. Yup, pinned right there on the fanny pack is his shiny gold Concealed Handgun License badge.

I guess there's a first time for everything....

I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I think Chucky should be awarded the TexasCHLForum Golden Tiara for catching the first one with a visual. Pics to confirm would have rated a knock-off of the Diamond-tiara.

I think they sell it as a package deal called the "Shoot Me First" package. :smilelol5:

Now hold on, there is an official fanny pack and duly authorized licence combo that we all agree is kosher. That is the batgirl setup worn by randomoutburst. Notice the official batlogo badge is worn directly on the fanny pack. This gentleman was just trying to accomplish the same thing - only he was not utilizing the correct gear. :rolll

Now TAM........lets not be unfair. :nono:

For all we know....the guy could have been wearing the "Stealth Version". You know....., the one with the smaller badge (only 4" X 6" and a matte finish). ;-)

People of his ilk may pass the course requirements for a CHL, but I wonder what would turn up with a psychological test.

Cop wannabes scare the daylights out of me and could perhaps be some of the reasoning behind 30.06 signs.

Yeah, CHL badges make for great jeering/humor fodder, but they shout "Mission Control, we have a problem"...

I have to disagree. Anyone wearing a fanny-pack couldn't possibly be a "Cop wannabe".

If you tell everyone you are carry concealed...doesn't that constitute "Failure to Conceal"?

:iagree: My thoughts also. Even though his pistol is physically concealed; the badge anounces "I'M PACKING".
