So crazy, read it here:
TRENTON — If an Essex County lawmaker has her way, every single bicycle in the state of New Jersey will soon have to have a license plate.

WOW!

Is there a legitimate reason that politicians focus on this crap instead of real problems that this country has? This is why nothing ever gets done. This is why we always hear the same campaign promises. They are all too busy doing this stuff.

I think that I am going to run for office. I would love to get paid to think of stupid things I could make people do day in and day out.

Shopping carts are probably next, since they are wheeled vehicles. But I could see pedestrian plates to generate revenue for sidewalks.

They shouldn't be required for mountain bikes that are only used off road, same as dirt bikes and ATV, but If they drive on the roads, and expect the same rights as other vehicles on the road, what's wrong with the same duties?
If anyone is raped, beaten or murdered on a college campus from this day forward
The senators who blocked SB 354 from being considered on 4/7/11 and
The members of the house calendar committee who haven't scheduled HB 750
Have the victims' blood on their hands.

How about this less than novel concept? Would it save any money?

Serving in Congress and/or State Houses is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

:iagree:
...government of the people by the people for the people...
A politician is not of the people in my books. A politician plays politics; what we need are public servants that put what is right for the people above what is best for themselves.

Kalifornia has always been a squirrel cage and now it's a broke squirrel cage with some nice scenery. They voted 'em and now they can vote 'em out!

The bike guys have this saying "Share the Road". It only seems fair we share the expense.

As a bike guy I'll take a sidewalk over a road any time, and I'll gladly pay the same fee as pedestrians. ;-)

You just watch. They are going to start making shoes have license plates too since they are used to cross streets. This was we can call in a report of a jaywalker and can identify them

Considering that most road maintenance money comes from property taxes, what makes you think they don't?

Maybe there should be a surcharge for road users with low property values.

Bicycles create no wear or tear on roadways. Nothing but a money grab by an elected moron.
