Re: The Kangaroocarry Holster....Whats your thoughts.
I tried mine again today. I adjusted the shoulder strap so it would be lower on my body. Didn't make a difference. I still intensely dislike it. I think this holster would probably work well for a person who is in reasonably good shape. I'm not. I'm old and overweight and it just doesn't work for me. One thing I am certain of - I would prefer for the magazine holder to be a longer opening so I could hold the mags horizontally. When they are vertical they dig into my chest when I sit down, and it is very uncomfortable. My fat makes the band fold over which makes the holster even more uncomfortable. For me tuckable holsters and mag holders are much more comfortable.

I don't remember. If I find it I'll check and let you know.Purplehood wrote:Didn't yours have the little velcro-strap thingie to secure the weapon in the pouch? Or are you simply saying that even with it in use, it felt like it was going to fall out?C-dub wrote:I have one around here somewhere. I used it several times and never got used to the feeling that it was going to fall out if I leaned the slightest bit forward and one time my G27 did. Good thing my belt was tight and my tucked in shirt held it in. In the bottom of the drawer it went.
The strap feels too secure to me and I tuck it under the pouch and don't use it.

I tried one at the gunshow this weekend, very uncomfortable to me.

I wear mine periodically. I only wear it over a t-shirt. Otherwise, the elastic against the skin is uncomfortable to me too. The biggest complaints I would have is that it is hot and if I do have to draw, the time to get to the gun under a stress situation is going to be greatly increased.

I wore mine when I had it and a Black Widow OWB as my two primary holsters. It depended on which shirt I was wearing for the day, as to which holster I would pick.baldeagle wrote:I tried mine again today. I adjusted the shoulder strap so it would be lower on my body. I'm by no means in good shape (Wait, Round is a shape isn't it <G>) but it fit well with my P40. I would wear an under shirt with it to make it more comfortable. My only issue was the shoulder strap would sometimes creap over and I'd have to adjust it. Which made me feel like it was a bra. (from watching my wife have to adjust, not from personal useage) I learned to solve that by wearing a "Wife Beater" T Shirt with it, and putting the shoulder strap through the strap on the T Shirt. It was comfortable enough and didn't slide. But I didn't like the pressure on my chest. It made me feel like I had a seat belt on all day. But that was a small price to pay for the concealabilty of the holster. Since I bought my King Tuk I've wore it maybe once. And that was within the first 3 days of getting the KT while it was breaking in. Once it broke in, I don't think I've worn another holster. I do love my Bianchi black widow, but this is just too easy to conceal. I don't have to worry about what I wear at all. If I'll show in a shirt with this holster, I really don't need to be wearing that shirt for the safety of the general public's eyes.

Picked one up at the last fun show. Wore it a few times around the house. I think it will take some time to get used to the new "man bra". Seems to conceal well. Have the "Air Marshal".

Re: The Kangaroocarry Holster....Whats your thoughts.
I bought an Air Marshall II a couple weeks ago. The owner was at a San Antonio gun show. He fitted me
and showed me how to wear it. Now this was with a plastic 5" 1911. I put it on and stuffed my 4" 1911
stainless steel Springfield Champion into the holster. Pistol fits in the pocket well. However, on my body
I encountered the following problems:
1) The material is rough and chafes
2) The beavertail is above the backing fabric and pinched my side.
3) The butt prints to the front unless the holster is all the way under my arm
4) When in a non-printing position, I cannot draw through a polo shirt even in 2X
5) Forget a t-shirt in any way. Except under the holster.
6) A stainless steel 1911 causes a lot of shift in the holster. Needs a tupperware pistol.
If you are a fairly fit person without a waist and wear an oversized shirt such as the owner, I believe the holster will work. It may also
work on ladies who have a natural "area" that will help break up the outline. For me it was a waste of cash. So, I have an Air Marshall II
in left hand size large. Size is for 37-43 inches in the chest area.If anyone wants to try it, let me know and if you are local we can meet up.
