Isn't that the truth. I watched that show with a cold beer to make it more fun. Scary thing is, a couple of those guys reminded me of some relatives I have from the hills of Kentucky.

The full auto M4 on the roof was just stupid as all get out. This was proved to me when it jammed right off the bat. As far as the daughter goes I'm sure she is being told what to say by producers. Shows that don't have drama and are shot like that fail. All stupid timelines and the "we have to get this done by such and such" is just something to add drama to the line.

I watch the show of it's on but I don't go seeking it out.

Who cares if it's scripted or not. It's good ol' products being made in the good ol' USA.

Didn't realize all those Saigas they keep messing around with every other week were US made . . .

And a lot of their guns don't seem to work all that well . . . the M1919 they butchered had too low a cyclic rate, the .50 BMG had teething problems, they made a lightweight minimalist AR15 and tried to represent it as something incredible . . . and when testing guns on their indoor range, they seem to hit "below the belt buckle" a lot.

They shoot in a dry forest/meadow and are surprised when they start a fire. And they're altogether too impressed with their clever use of pyrotechnics (Tannerite?).

I want a custom gun, I'm not getting it from some guys clowning around for a TV show.

It is a design from Tiger McKee and made by Red Jacket Firearms.

I read that it "is an AR-15 with a Les Baer upper without the forward assist, a duckbill pistol grip, an A1 stock, Daniel Defense iron sights, Bravo Company's "Gunfighter" charging handle (medium), carbon fiber handguards with a rail mount at 11 for the light."

The weapon is very light (5.5 lbs) and is supposed to balance well.

One of the main problems with Sons of gun is it's almost an exact rehashing of west coast choppers. An owner figure that needs every little detail to be perfect and can be overbearing at times, gets mad and yell a little bit but by the end of the episode everything is fine and the customer is tickled pink with the product. I like watching the show because I like guns but I don't get all into the "drama" of the show.

Speaking of crazy reality shows the guys on Lizard Lick Towing are wild and crazy as they come. They get shot at and assaulted every episode. I don't know the laws in NC but I would definitely carry a .45

Never seen it, but I suspect the same goes for "Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy"!

I actually have watched Larry's show, and it isn't bad at all. It's interesting, and Larry tends to embody that good natured side of southern folks that endears us to others.
He's a little crass, at times, but tends to keep things under control for this show, at least.

I like Larry's show there's a few moments he's had that made me cringe but thats him. I like it because it's actually entertaining and a good contrast to the usual type of people that host history shows.

I just saw this show for the first time this past weekend- seemed cool at first, but then I realized they weren't exactly the type of straight forward folks I'd want to deal with. They took on the task of making a "Hollywood quiet" suppressed shotgun. I'm thinking they were trying to build something similar to what was used in "No Country For Old Men"....that was AWESOME, and if someone ever pulls that off I'd be the first in line to want to play with it. On the show, they ended up with a Saiga that was about 144dB or so, and that probably would have still required ear protection, and they charge north of $2500 for. For that money, I'd expect a truck load of Saiga 12 guages with another truck load of box magazines, and they can keep their "suppressors" for themselves.

Just my 2 pennies...
