Didn't even think about the pump shotgun...very true though. I guess I am doing the CC thing all wrong. I need to NOT keep a round chambered so it has a bigger big screen impact if I need to draw my weapon.03Lightningrocks wrote:Texas Size 11 wrote:I've watched that movie several times...Sam Gerard loves to rack the slide on his Glock. He does it every time he touches it.
Movie makers like doing that with pump shotguns too. They show a guy walking around with the gun at the ready as he searches the area for the bad guy, then when the bad guy pops up from around the corner, the GG always pumps the gun before firing it.
You can watch a whole swat team about to storm into a crack house. Every one of them rack a round as they announce to each other... READY? Everyone knows that cops and good guys never keep a round chambered.

I have a Glock that is very accurate. I don't follow your line of thought....

If Jones had any class, he would have told the man to get a 1911, which to a Script writer would come out "Colt 45".
But he's a Democrat

I hate to admit having seen the movie (it's amazing what you'll do to avoid studying), but he does carry a 1911 in "Man of the House". The trivia section on IMDB for the movie notes that it was his personal Colt, which he brought to the set after refusing a prop gun.If Jones had any class, he would have told the man to get a 1911, which to a Script writer would come out "Colt 45".

from IMDB:
The pistol used by Tommy Lee Jones is not a prop, it is his own Colt 1911 that he brought to the set after refusing to use the prop gun.

Wow, Glock debate. Shocker. My 1911 this and my 1911 that. They all have the same usefulness in an evidence locker. Save your money and keep that safe queen where she belongs.

Not sure where THAT came from? Not a glock debate at all. Just looking for clarification.DFWTT wrote:Wow, Glock debate. Shocker. My 1911 this and my 1911 that. They all have the same usefulness in an evidence locker. Save your money and keep that safe queen where she belongs.

Well I took the post to mean the post about Glocks not being acurate was an April fools joke. That was why I posted this guy . I have found my Glocks to be VERY accurate! My 1911's are too. So are my Sigs... and my Kahr. Hope I covered them all... I want to be fair about equal handgun coverage...

NP all sorry bout the steam showing. This was the 3rd or 4th thread I had read throwing poop at the plastic AND following a face to face listening and smiling fest from a 1911 diehard I had been pushed about as far as I was willing to go.03Lightningrocks wrote:HotLeadSolutions wrote:Not sure where THAT came from? Re: US Marshall dissing a 92
Nope. It wasn't a 92 and it wasn't a 9mm. It was a .45 caliber Taurus. See second or third post.rm9792 wrote:I was under the impression Gerard was referring to the chrome plating in reference to the "sissy" pistol. Might have been referring to the 92 being 9mm since he carried a .40.
