Easiest way to see which one is actually your representative is to look at your voter registration card. Its all good contacting both though, the more the merrier.

I live in a heavily Democratic area of Texas. My VR changes every year, depending on whose one of the local "community organizing" associations gives me.

It passed in the *Senate*. It still has to pass the House, then get signed by the governor.
