Y'all all have fun.

If the hand surgery wouldn't have prevented me from shooting, the residual pain and the drugs would pretty much destroy the experience otherwise. ENJOY!!

I have to send my regrets on the party.

I came down with a nasty respiratory infection last night, and am basically nonfunctional this morning.

Rather than risk infecting everyone around me, I'm going to sit this one out.

My apologies to all for this last minute change.

My guests called and bail out. They had a long night of fun and they are so tired. I will be there.

I'll be there, but I'll be gimpy. I pinched an intercostal nerve in my mid back yesterday, and my back and right side have been in spasm ever since. I'll bring my skeet gun, but I doubt I'll shoot it myself as the though of twisting my body while holding a shotgun to my shoulder makes me shudder.

I'm off to get ready right now.

We missed HotLeadSolutions and Excaliber!

I think there were about 40 people at the range. I'm also very grateful for all the holsters I got to handle and try on!

Here's a picture from the morning:

And here's one from the restaurant:

Thanks for putting it all together. Here is a link to the holster that you liked.

A great time was had by all! My six guests had a blast! Literally!

They're all ready for the next North Texas Event. Apparently our youngest guest impressed his Daddy so much that they stopped off at Euless Guns and Ammo on their way home and purchased a Model 62 Savage .22 rifle. Many thanks to all for the great time, and for making the guests feel so welcome!

Hoi, you do us all a great service by coordinating these get togethers, and it's appreciated by all! :tiphat:

Respects to all,
Lonewolf and sons (and guests)

Fun day. Thanks Hoi!

I haven't tried clearing that jam from my Henry yet. I'll have a go at it in the morning.

That Mosin had some kick. Now I wish I had tried that .45-70 for comparison.

The .380 I tried had much less kick than I think I was lead to believe from such a little gun. I wish I could remember which one it was. I wouldn't mind having it as a bug for pocket or even ankle carry.

The AR and Fal I tried had a little more kick than I anticipated. I don't know why, but I thought they would be less. They weren't as much as my Henry or that Mosin, but they were more than I thought they would be.

Thanks Everyone!

Well we closed down the skeet range like it was last call today. I had a great time shooting all day, and yes, missing most of my clays. Big thanks to Hoi for arranging a great event, and to Andy for taking particular patience to be sure we all knew what to do on the skeet range.

My son Shayne had a particularly good day learning a lot and trying a number of potential first guns. I think he took a fancy to the 3" Kimber 1911s he tried.

It was great meeting everyone and look forward to the next event.

Cheers! :cheers2

I was way down on the left. It was black. Ooohhhhh.

Does Kahr make a little .380? Did anyone have one out there today?

It might have even been someone not with the group. There were so many people out there this morning I don't remember if they had a name tag or not.

Thanks for putting this together again, Hoi. I had a wonderful time all day!

Between visiting with everyone, sharing guns, and shooting skeet, it's a wonder I wasn't arrested for having too much fun!!!

As for the .380, several shot my P238, but I can't remember everyone that did.

Oh man. I don't know Pawpaw. I'll guess we'll have to do this again sometime soon and I'll have to pay better attention. :???:
