Hi all,
I just received my plastic, and looking forward to carrying. I have definitely decided to carry a .45 of some flavor in a IWB rig. I am leaning towards a Colt XSE Lightweight Commander and a crossbreed supertuck, but I have some concerns that the front serrations on the XSE will hang up when drawing from a IWB holster.
Does anyone carry this setup (XSE and an IWB holster) ? Is this a legitimate concern, or am I just being a dumb rookie ?
Thanks for any input,
Bob

No such critter on here. As a matter of fact, you are being a smart and concerned person with your question.duddini wrote:or am I just being a dumb rookie ?
Someone will come along shortly to answer your question about the XSE

Re: Supertuck with Colt XSE ?
Your best bet would be to give Trent owner of crossbreed holsters a call. Ask or email him your concerns and I am sure he will promptly respond with your concerns. He is a very trustworthy and honest person who will take care of you. He may even be able to modify the super-tuck to address your needs. He also includes a 2 week no questions asked return policy, so if you get it, and don't like it, you get a full refund.
Re: Supertuck with Colt XSE ?
Well, it looks like my question is mute. I just checked around town, and there is not a single XSE available, in any flavor. I had no idea they were so hard to get, they won't even put me on a waiting list.
Guess I need to start a new search for a carry .45
Thanks anyways guys,
Bob

I carry a full sized Colt XSE in a UBG holster and have had no issues.

Re: Supertuck with Colt XSE ?
I carry a Springfield Loaded on occasion in either a MTAC (similar to your Supertuck) or a Galco OWB holster. That gun has front cocking serrations on the slide, and has never given me any more trouble on drawing than any other gun I own, in any other holsters I own.duddini wrote:Hi all,

I assume that is what you were talking about when you say "front serrations?"

I carry a Combat Elite. The only problem I have had with front cocking serrations is they pick up holster fuzz. Little leather shavings.
