President Obama's New Stance on Guns

#1

Post by jchanaga »

Hi Fellow Board Members,

I just ran across a story that is very interesting regarding President Obama's new stance on guns!

In a CNN article title: "Obama blasts GOP 'rigidity' in CNN interview" at the end of the article President Obama makes a comment about guns:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/08/16/ ... ?hpt=hp_c1
The president wrapped up his interview by noting that if he is re-elected in 2012, his gift to daughters Sasha and Malia will be "a continuation of Secret Service so that when boys want to start dating them, they are going to be "surrounded by men with guns".

Isn't this in contradiction to what the President said during the last election?

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/ ... hobia.html

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

So this must mean either:

1. The President is now bitter (economy, political problems with congress, angry at the Tea Party)-- and now therefore likes his family protected and surrounded by men with guns

OR

2. The President has changed his views on gun ownership.

Which do you think it is? "rlol"

Or C: as a member of the ruling class he and his family deserve protection, but us serfs need to be disarmed for "our own" (aka the ruling classes) protection.

Yep...doesn't matter what the subject is, those who advocate "progressive" beliefs normally do not hold dear ANY of the freedoms reserved for the people by our founding fathers....Michael Moore said the other day that S&P execs should be JAILED for downgrading US debt ratings...good to know he believes in the 1st amendment just as much as he does the 2nd...

He was likely the inspiration for the character. Well, either him or Rosanne Barr.

Such as being subject to ObamaCare, insider-trading regulations, etc, etc ad nauseum.

Actually, come to think of it - that includes all politicians, not just progressives.

Funny word, "progressive" - it implies moving forward, improving... hmmm.
They do that because more accurate terms like "regressives" or "retrogressives" (making the same well documented mistakes that have always doomed nations in the past) doesn't sound nearly as good.

Yeah like this "bus" tour, touting creation of American Jobs while rolling large in a Canadian made!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08 ... in-canada/

Again, telling us to have fuel efficient cars, while he rolls in a Darth Vader gas gussling bus! I didn't hear the environmental wackos complaining about the environmental impact of this bus? Anyone know the MPG of this beast? Oh wait, this is the blame everyone tour---the Tea Party, Congress, The Rich, CEOs, Corporate Jets, etc. Any media outlets on the left outraged that this bus chassis was built in Canada? Any media outlets upset that this bus is polluting our countryside? Why isn't the media questioning why this $1 Million dollar pimp mobile didn't roll into the inner city in Chicago?

Answer: C & D (New)

D: Leftstreamers aren't disturbed by simultaneously holding two positions that are mutually exclusive under logic, or by holding any position at all that is obviously and patently false due to facts that are easily and readily observable by the most unsophisticated observer.

If we are to believe the self aggrandizing statements of these folks regarding their mental acuity, it takes exceptionally high intelligence to reach these depths of stupidity.
