NE Texas Range (Gun Rental)

#1

Post by Expat »

Hey guys and gals,

Looking for a range in North East Texas that offers rentals. A Google search only brought up one in the DFW area so I thought that I would turn to the boards to see if one would turn up closer. Ideally looking for a range that offers a wide selection located NE of Dallas.

I have no idea if it is still there or not, so you will have to search.

At one time, several years ago, there was a fairly nice indoor range over in Tyler.

The Bullet Trap in Plano.

They have just about anything you'd want to try out. You have to use their ammo and it isn't the least expensive place to buy ammo in the metroplex. So figure that on top the the rental cost. Details of whats for rent and cost on their website http://www.bullettrapinc.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It would be worth the drive.

Check with Extreme Defensive Shooting near Royse City (972-689-9311). The other one is Lock and Load in Tyler and I know for sure they have rentals.

Bullet trap in Plano, or Target Masters in Garland. They seem to have a HUGE range of rentals, including the new SR40C, which we're shooting and renting tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks for the suggestions the range a bullet trap was nice. Lots to choose from when it comes to renting guns. We were looking for a Kimber CDP II but it was out for repair at the time so we went with a similar Kimber model that they had. After shooting the Kimber the wife was hooked. Needless to say we wound up leaving with one :woohoo . The 44 mag on the other had was a different story she liked it but couldn't conceal it lol.
